Flying on Love
His hand gripped mine tightly. I clung to him while we stood on the edge. There was but a few inches of the stone wall that my feet touched. Our bodies were flush against each other, my brown eyes staring into his endless blue ones. My breathing was quick despite my multiple attempts to breathe normally. With a rush the hand that was on the small of my back keeping me pressed against him, moved and I felt myself being pushed back.
He was pushing me off the wall? No way! My eyes widened, and instead of falling he spun me around so my back was against the stone wall behind him and he was on the edge. His soft thin lips moved closer to mine, and in a few seconds they were pressed against mine, his one hand still clutching mine the other on the back of my neck tilting my face upwards. It was an innocent chaste kiss, and lasted only a few seconds, but it felt like forever.
When we pulled apart, a smirk placed itself on his lips. Suddenly, he jumped backwards, and I released my grip, his hand releasing mine, I watched as he fell from the five story building wall. A smile on his face. My heart beat so fast,
I thought it would burst from my chest. I wanted to shut my eyes, I didn't want to see his body splatter to the pavement, but I couldn't help but watch as he smiled back his hand still outstretched towards mine.
I leaned forward and soon i felt the air rushing around me, I was fallling fast, but it didn't feel like it. Time was moving slow, and somehow, as I outreached my hand towards his, our fingers brushed and soon we were flush against each other, and I heard the flapping of wings. I noticed our direction changed. I looked below me to see the ground getting farther from us. I reached my hand to his cheek and pushed myself until our lips were pressed against each other. I looked behind him, and saw the black feathered wings.
He smiled and then leaned in close. "I love you," He kissed my cheek and then looked skyward. I looked skyward also, and realized we were ascending, where, I had no clue, but we were going. Light flooded around us, as we flew higher and higher.
I sighed a happy sigh, we were together, that's all that mattered. I held him close and closed my eyes.
From faraway I heard the amublance, I heard the screaming, I heard the voices, but I felt the elation, and then there was nothing but him and I, together.
